Knit A Belt

Here's a small portable project.  Supplies:
1 skein cotton, cotton blends, Zen Ribbon, Suede yarn, or Nylong cord from Home Depot (near the cement supplies). Size 8 or 8 knitting needles,  D-ring or buckle.

Directions:
Cast on 9 stitches. Knit 6 stitches, bring yarn to front as if to purl, and slip next three stitches to the right hand needle.  Repeat this row for the entire length of belt.
Belt may be bound off or narrowed to a point.
Point Decrease: Knit middle 2 stitches together every row until 2 sts. remain.  K2 tog and finish off.
Attach buckle or just wear tied.  May add fringe or beads to dress up the belt.
